WEA Hunter has geared up to meet the growing demand for improved computer literacy in Newcastle's business community.
Computer training rooms in Laman Street have been upgraded and courses can be tailored to meet specific needs.
Trainer Trevor Lang said many people had a basic computer knowledge.
``But then they face the situation where either they want to know more or their employer wants them to know more," he said.
``We saw a growing need to offer good, affordable training to the business community.
``We now have two computer rooms: one with eight PCs, the other with 15 and all have internet access.
``We'll be conducting courses in a range of software - MS Words (introduction, intermediate, advanced), MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher.
``We'll also be running comprehensive email and internet courses."
Mr Lang said WEA could cater for corporate computer training needs by setting up flexible course modules to best reflect the needs of organisation.
``All courses have been developed for business clients by experienced tutors and WEA offers post-course support.
The executive director with WEA Hunter, Ben Grushka, said his organisation was well equipped to deal with business training.
``Training could include things like business planning, customer service, finance, marketing for sucess, networking, small business management and time management," he said.
